Statute Text
Publication of notices.
(1) Except as provided by ORS chapter 255 and ORS 294.448 (Local Budget Law)
and 341.670, notice of community college district organization and merger,
community college district budgets and community college district purchasing
shall be given only as provided in this section.
(2) Whenever
notice is required, the board shall cause the notice to be published in one or
more of the newspapers published in the district and having a general
circulation in the district. If no newspaper is published in the district, the
notice shall be published in some newspaper designated by the board and having
circulation throughout the district. The notice shall be published in at least
two issues of each designated newspaper.
(3) The board may
also cause broadcasting of any notice required to be published in the manner
provided in ORS 193.310 to 193.360.
(4) The board
shall cause the time and place of publishing each of the notices required by
subsection (1) of this section and the content of such notices to be recorded
