Statute Text
Requiring return and production of party by order.
At any time after the allowance of
a writ of habeas corpus, the plaintiff therein, or the person applying therefor
on behalf of the plaintiff, may give notice to the judge issuing the writ, and
thereupon, if necessary to avoid delay, the judge shall by order require that
the return be made and the party produced before the judge at such time and
place, within the county or district, as may be convenient.
