Procedure after election to lengthen course; effective date of change. (1) If the union high school board determines that a majority of votes cast in the union high school district at an election under ORS 335.495 are for the proposal to lengthen the course of study, it shall: (a) Declare the proposal carried and certify the result to the district boundary board; and (b) Submit to the Department of Education the complete course of study in the district. (2) The lengthened course of study shall become effective the July 1 next following approval of the course by the State Board of Education.
