Report on performance and finances; distribution and accessibility of report. (1) No later than October 1 of each year, the board of directors of an education service district shall produce an annual report related to the performance and the finances of the education service district for the previous school year. The purpose of the report is to provide information to parents, component school districts and the Department of Education and to improve education service districts through greater involvement of persons who are interested in the success of education service districts. (2) The annual report that is produced as required by this section must include: (a) The size and demographics of the education service district; (b) The number of students served by the education service district, identified by school district; (c) Services provided by the education service district, and how those services align with the goals described in ORS 334.175 and the local service plan developed for the education service district; (d) The number of hours of services provided by the education service district, identified by category; (e) The staff of the education service district, identified by category; (f) The use of distance learning; and (g) The education service district’s revenue and expenditures, including employee salary information. (3) The board of directors of the education service district must: (a) Submit the report produced as required by this section to: (A) The component school districts of the education service district; and (B) The Department of Education. (b) Make the report produced as required by this section available to the public at the administrative offices of the education service district and on the website for the education service district.
