Districts controlling cemeteries. (1) Any school district may own, possess, manage, operate, control, improve, sell and convey real property used for cemetery purposes where such property is within the school district boundaries and a deed of conveyance was executed and delivered conveying in fee such real property from the owners thereof to such school district prior to 1923 and such district accepted such deed and improved such real property for cemetery purposes. (2) Any school district owning and possessing real property described in subsection (1) of this section may receive, own, expend and issue moneys, notes and other evidences of indebtedness for improvement, maintenance, operation, care and management of such real property used for cemetery purposes.
