Composition, purpose and duties of district boundary board. (1) The governing body of a county shall constitute the district boundary board for laying off the county in convenient school districts. (2) The district boundary board shall have jurisdiction over all school districts in the county and over all joint districts, the administrative offices of which are in the county. (3) The district boundary board shall make alterations and changes in the school districts in the manner specified by law. The board shall maintain a record showing the boundaries and numbers of the districts in the county based on records in the office of the county assessor. (4) The district boundary board shall submit to the Department of Education a record showing any changes in the boundaries of school districts over which the board has jurisdiction. The department shall make the information received under this subsection available to the public on the department’s website.
