Notice
of budget committee meeting; public availability of documents.
(1) Not less than eight days and
not more than 14 days prior to the meeting of the budget committee of the
council of governments, notice of the meeting shall be published in a newspaper
of general circulation within each county represented by the council of
governments. The notice shall contain the purpose, time and place of the
meeting and the place where the budget document is available. The notice shall
also state that the meeting is a public meeting where deliberations of the
budget committee will take place and that any person may discuss proposed
programs with the budget committee at that time.
(2) The governing
body shall either provide the means of duplicating the budget or part thereof,
in those situations where the budget document or portion thereof may be quickly
reproduced, or shall provide copies of the budget document or part thereof so
that a copy of the budget document or part thereof may be readily obtained by
any individual interested in the affairs of the council of governments. [1987
