Statute Text
Water pipes and supply; entry to place and repair pipes; damages for use of land. (1) The directors or other lawful managers of any public institution of the state may: (a) Enter upon the lands through which they desire to conduct their pipes for the purpose of providing water supplies and lay the pipes underground. (b) Enter at all times upon such lands for the purpose of keeping the water line in repair and do all things to that end. (2) If damages are claimed for the use of such lands and the parties cannot agree as to the amount of compensation to be paid, they may proceed in the manner provided by law for railroad companies to procure right of way.
