Authority for department to acquire and improve land in capitol area.
(1) The Oregon Department of
Administrative Services may obtain title in the name of the State of Oregon by
purchase, agreement, donation or exercise of the power of eminent domain, for
development as a part of the capitol area to all land lying within the Capitol
Mall.
(2) From time to
time, when offered at proper prices and from funds available through
appropriations for such purpose or through the Emergency Board, the department
may purchase or acquire by agreement or donation, for development as a part of
the capitol area, land lying within the Capitol Mall.
(3) The
department may improve and develop the land acquired in a manner to accomplish
the purpose and intent of ORS 276.054. [Amended by 1957 c.377 §1; 2005 c.217 §15]
