Sale
or lease of timber on county lands.
(1) In any instrument of conveyance or agreement for conveyance of timber upon
lands acquired by any county by foreclosure of delinquent tax liens or
otherwise under ORS 275.090 to 275.220, the governing body of the county may
provide such conditions and regulations of cutting and slash disposal as may be
deemed to be for the best interests of the county, which conditions and
regulations shall be in addition to the provisions of the state forest fire
law.
(2) Any purchaser
of such timber may be required to give a bond or undertaking in favor of the
county conditioned upon the compliance of the purchaser with all such
conditions and regulations and with the provisions of the state forest fire
laws, the bond to be in an amount not less than the full purchase price of the
timber.
(3) The
instrument or agreement for conveyance may be made for a term of years, in
which case all rights and interests thereby granted by the county shall revert
to and revest in the county upon expiration of the term. [Amended by 2005 c.243
