Oregon Revised Statutes Chapter 273 § 273.865 — Application for deed; investigation; deadline on application

Application for deed; investigation; deadline on application. (1) Application for a deed under ORS 273.855 (1) shall be made to the Board of County Commissioners of Clatsop County in a manner and form prescribed by the county board. The application shall include: (a) A legal description of the lands applied for, and, as nearly as practicable, the time the land was filled or deposited; (b) The names and addresses of persons other than the applicant who are in occupancy or, to the knowledge of the applicant, may have any claim to or interest in the lands described in the application; (c) Evidence that the applicant, if other than a governmental entity, has paid all ad valorem taxes that were assessed with respect to the lands during the period the applicant asserts to have possessed the lands; (d) Evidence establishing that the applicant or the predecessors in interest of the applicant have had such possession of the lands as of the time of application for a deed under ORS 273.850 to 273.890 as would bar an action or suit for recovery of the lands by a private person under no disability holding legal title thereto. (2) The Board of County Commissioners of Clatsop County may cause an investigation to be made to determine whether the facts alleged in an application are correct. (3) The Board of County Commissioners of Clatsop County shall not accept any applications under ORS 273.850 to 273.890 after December 31, 1971. However, this does not affect proceedings with respect to applications filed not later than December 31, 1971. [1969 c.495 §§6,9,15]
