Statute Text
Initiative and referendum. (1) The electors of a district may exercise the powers of the initiative and referendum with reference to legislation of the district, in accordance with ORS 255.135 to 255.205. (2) A district board on its own resolution may call an election for the purpose of referring an ordinance to the electors of a district for their approval before the ordinance takes effect.
