Statute Text
Deadline for incumbent seeking reelection to file petition or declaration. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an incumbent holder of a public office who intends to seek reelection shall file a nominating petition or a declaration of candidacy for an additional term of the same public office at least seven days prior to the corresponding filing deadline for nonincumbent candidates for that public office.
