Statute Text
Director and staff. The system shall be administered, subject to the limitations of this chapter, ORS chapter 238A and the budget prescribed by the board, by the director provided for by ORS 238.630 and by a staff which the board authorizes and which the director appoints. The director shall hold that position during the discretion of the board and the members of the staff shall hold their respective positions during the discretion of the director. No member of the staff may be removed from it, however, in a manner contrary to the laws of the state regarding civil service. The director shall furnish such bond as is required by the board.
