Statute Text
Mayor;
term; functions.
Concerning the mayor of a city created under ORS 221.010 to 221.100:
(1) Only
councillors shall be eligible to serve as mayor.
(2) The council
shall appoint a mayor at its first meeting of each odd-numbered year.
(3) The mayors
term of office shall be two years.
(4) The mayor
shall be presiding officer of the council and shall authenticate with the
signature of the mayor all ordinances which the council passes. [Amended by
