Wheeler County. The boundary of Wheeler County is as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of township 13 south, range 20 east of the Willamette Meridian; thence south three miles along the west line of the township; thence east along section lines to the east boundary of range 22 east; thence south on the range line to the southeast corner of township 13 south, range 22 east; thence easterly along the southerly to the southeast corner of the township line to the northeast corner of township 14 south, range 23 east; thence southerly to the southeast corner of said township; thence easterly along township lines to the southeast corner of township 14 south, range 25 east; thence northerly along the east line of range 25 east, to the northeast corner of township 7 south, range 25 east; thence westerly to the northwest corner of the township; thence northerly along the east line of township 6 south, range 24 east, to the southeast corner of section 1 of the township; thence westerly along section lines to the middle of the main channel of the John Day River; thence southerly along the middle of the main channel of the John Day River to the point where the main channel intersects the east line of section 25, township 9 south, range 19 east; thence southerly along the east line of range 19 east to the place of beginning.
