Grant
County.
The
boundary of Grant County is as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of
township 18 south of range 26 east of the Willamette Meridian; thence running
north on the line between ranges 25 and 26, to the northwest corner of township
7 south, range 26 east; thence east along the township line between townships 6
and 7 south to the summit of the chain of mountains known as the Blue
Mountains; thence southerly along the summit of the Blue Mountains to the
westerly boundary line of Baker County, as described in ORS 201.010 (1); thence
along and adjoining the western line of Baker County on the summit of the Blue
Mountains southerly between the waters of Powder River and Burnt River on the
east and John Day River on the west, to a point where the line of such summit
intersects the section line on the north side of section 15, township 15 south,
range 35 east of the Willamette Meridian; thence east on the such section line
to the quarter section corner on the north side of such section 15; thence
south one and one-half miles to the center of section 22; thence east to the
quarter section corner on the east side of section 24, the quarter section
corner being on the range line between range 35 1/2 east and range 36 east of
the Willamette Meridian; thence north on such range line 7.99 chains to the
northwest corner of section 19, township 15 south, range 36 east of the
Willamette Meridian; thence east on the section line to the intersection of the
range line between range 36 east and range 37 east of the Willamette Meridian;
thence south to the township line between townships 17 and 18 south; thence
west along such township line to the range line between ranges 32 and 33 east
of the Willamette Meridian; thence south on such range line to the township
line between townships 18 and 19 south; thence west on such township line to
the place of beginning.
