Statute Text
Certification of election results.
The governing body of each affected entity shall meet separately not later than
the fifth day after receiving from the county clerk the abstract of the votes
cast in the entity in an election on consolidation or merger. At the meeting,
the governing body of the entity shall determine the result of the election and
certify the result to the governing body of each of the affected entities. [1971
