Attorney General to investigate or prosecute violation; payment of expenses.
(1) If the Secretary of State
believes that an alleged violation of any provision of this chapter is not
being investigated or prosecuted, the secretary may direct the Attorney General
to take full charge of the investigation or prosecution.
(2) If directed
under subsection (1) of this section, the Attorney General shall take full
charge of the investigation or prosecution and the provisions of ORS 180.070,
180.080 and 180.090 shall apply.
(3)
Notwithstanding ORS 180.070 (3), expenses associated with the Attorney Generals
investigation or prosecution shall be paid from the Operating Account under ORS
56.041. [2013 c.219 §46 (enacted in lieu of 194.330)]
