Statute Text
Governor to fill vacancy by appointment; term of appointee.
At any time when a vacancy may by
any cause occur in the office of Attorney General, the Governor shall appoint a
suitable person to be Attorney General, who shall hold office until the next
general election, when a successor shall be elected for a full term and shall
qualify as prescribed in ORS 180.030.
