Response required; time.
(1) Except as specifically provided under ORS 18.682, a garnishee must prepare
a garnishee response in substantially the form provided by ORS 18.835 and must
deliver the response in the manner provided in ORS 18.690.
(2) Except as
provided in subsection (3) of this section, a garnishee response must be
delivered by the garnishee not later than seven calendar days after the date on
which the writ of garnishment was delivered to the garnishee.
(3) If the
seventh calendar day after delivery of a writ of garnishment is a Saturday,
Sunday or legal holiday, a garnishee response must be delivered by the
garnishee on or before the next following day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or
legal holiday. [2001 c.249 §24]
