Statute Text
State
policy governing election dates.
The Legislative Assembly finds that to limit the number of days on which
elections are held in this state would consolidate separate single purpose
elections, reduce the cost of elections and local government, and increase
participation in the electoral process. It, therefore, finds that the number of
election days in this state is a matter of statewide concern. [1979 c.316 §1]
