Statute Text
Sports
bribery.
(1) A
person commits the crime of sports bribery if the person:
(a) Offers,
confers or agrees to confer any benefit upon a sports participant with intent
to influence the sports participant not to give the best effort of the sports
participant in a sports contest; or
(b) Offers,
confers or agrees to confer any benefit upon a sports official with intent to
influence the sports official to improperly perform duties of a sports
official.
(2) Sports
bribery is a Class C felony. [1971 c.743 §164]
