Majority of parents. (1) The parent who gave birth to a child and the child’s presumed parent, adjudicated parent, acknowledged parent or alleged genetic parent shall be deemed to have attained majority. (2) Regardless of age, the parent who gave birth to a child or the child’s alleged genetic parent may acknowledge parentage as provided in ORS 109.070. (3) Regardless of age, the parent who gave birth to a child or the child’s presumed parent, adjudicated parent, acknowledged parent or alleged genetic parent may give authorizations, releases or waivers, or enter into agreements, in adoption, juvenile court, parentage determination or other proceedings concerning the care or custody of the child.
