State
Court Administrator to establish registry of justice and municipal courts.
(1) The State Court Administrator
shall establish a registry of municipal courts and justice courts of this
state. The registry shall include all information required to be provided by
counties and cities to the State Court Administrator under this section.
(2) Upon creation
of a justice court, the county in which the justice court is established shall
give notice to the State Court Administrator of the boundaries of the justice
court district. The county shall also provide to the State Court Administrator the
name of each justice of the peace, the term of each justice of the peace and
the mailing address for the justice court. Upon modification or dissolution of
a justice court district, the county shall promptly notify the State Court
Administrator of the modification or dissolution.
(3) Upon creation
of a municipal court, the city establishing the municipal court shall give
notice to the State Court Administrator that the court has been created. The
city shall also provide to the State Court Administrator the name of each
municipal judge elected or appointed to the court, the term of each municipal
judge elected or appointed and the mailing address for the municipal court.
Upon ceasing to operate a municipal court, the city shall promptly notify the
State Court Administrator that the municipal court is no longer in operation. [2001
