; penalties. NRS200.400Definition; penalties. 1.  As used in this section: (a) “Battery” means any willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another. (b) “Strangulation” has the meaning ascribed to it inNRS 200.481. 2.  A person who is convicted of battery with the intent to commit mayhem, robbery or grand larceny is guilty of a category B felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for a minimum term of not less than 2 years and a maximum term of not more than 10 years, and may be further punished by a fine of not more than $10,000. 3.  A person who is convicted of battery with the intent to kill is guilty of a category B felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for a minimum term of not less than 2 years and a ...
