Section Overview

Maryland Transportation Code Section 7-602 (2023) - Arbitration in Labor Disputes (a) In this section, “labor dispute” is to be construed broadly and includes any controversy as to: (1) Wages, salaries, hours, or other working conditions; (2) Benefits, including health and welfare, sick leave, insurance, pension, or retirement provisions; (3) Grievances that arise; or (4) Collective bargaining agreements, including: (i) The making or maintaining of any collective bargaining agreement; (ii) The terms to be included in it; or (iii) Its interpretation or application. (b) If, in a labor dispute between the Administration and any employees described in § 7-601 of this subtitle, collective bargaining does not result in agreement, the Administration shall submit the dispute to an arbitration boa...
