Maryland Family Law Code Section 5-1201 (2023) - Definitions (a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) “At–risk parent” means a parent of a child entering out–of–home placement or identified as at risk of entering out–of–home placement. (c) “Child welfare personnel” means paraprofessionals, caseworkers, casework supervisors, and administrators who work in child welfare programs administered by the Department. (d) Repealed. (e) “Cross–training” means training of both child welfare and substance abuse treatment personnel, provided by qualified trainers with an approved curriculum in essential areas, including both substance abuse and child welfare practices, procedures, and laws.
