Statute Summary

22-2103.Purpose and construction.This code is intended to provide for the just determination of every criminal proceeding. Its provisions shall be construed to secure simplicity in procedure, fairness in administration and the elimination of unjustifiable expense and delay. 1. Construed; accused not denied right to speedy trial. State v. Davis, 209 Kan. 225, 227, 495 P.2d 965. 2. Purpose of code mentioned. State v. Hill, 211 Kan. 287, 294, 507 P.2d 342. 3.
