21-6415.Illegal ownership or keeping of an animal.(a) Illegal ownership or keeping of an animal is, with no requirement of a culpable mental state, owning, or keeping on one's premises, an animal by a person convicted of unlawful conduct of dog fighting as defined in K.S.A.21-6414, and amendments thereto, or cruelty to animals as defined in subsection (a)(1) of K.S.A.21-6412, and amendments thereto, within five years of the date of such conviction. (b) Illegal ownership or keeping of an animal
