Statute Summary

21-6306.Defacing identification marks of a firearm.(a) Defacing identification marks of a firearm is intentionally changing, altering, removing or obliterating the name of the maker, model, manufacturer's number or other mark of identification of any firearm. (b) Defacing identification marks of a firearm is a severity level 10, nonperson felony. (c) Possession of any firearm upon which any such mark has been intentionally changed, altered, removed or obliterated shall be prima facie evidence
