(725 ILCS 115/1) (from Ch. 38, par. 1351) Sec. 1. Short title. This Act shall be known and may be cited as the Bill of Rights for Children. (Source: P.A. 86-862.) The purpose of this Act is to ensure the fair and compassionate treatment of children involved in the criminal justice system by affording certain basic rights and considerations to these children.
