Section Overview

40-5-69. Circumstances not affecting suspensions by operation of law. If a person's driver's license is suspended by operation of law as provided in Code Section 40-5-63, 40-5-67.1, or 40-5-67.2, the fact that the person's driver's license was not physically surrendered to the law enforcement officer at the time the person was charged with violating Code Section 40-6-391 or that the person's driver's license was not retained by the court and forwarded to the department as provided in Code Section 40-5-67 or that the person's driver's license was not forwarded as provided in Code Section 40-5-72 shall not affect such suspension.
