SCOPE: This Administrative Order is applicable to all sworn department members.
POLICY: It is the policy of the Village of Key Biscayne Police Department to increase visibility and
reduce crime through preventive patrols and active enforcement efforts. The objectives of the bicycle
patrols are to facilitate a contemporary, non- conventional patrol procedure to assist with problem
solving, crime prevention, crime suppression, and the continuance of community policing philosophies.
