A. PURPOSE: The purpose of this policy is to establish an effective way to efficiently
respond to the scene of any incident and/or crime that requires more the responding unit(s)
can successfully manage. Often, aside from the initial the assistance of neighboring
agencies at the onset of such incident/crime, it will be necessary for the EPPD to assume
command of the incident and its immediate follow up.
