POLICY 157.0FIRES - GENERAL REVISED: 11/2011 RELATED POLICIES: Reviewed by Chief David Magnusson 4/2019 A.FIRES 1.See to the treatment of the injured. 2.Fire Scene a.The handling of a fire scene is the responsibility of the Miami Dade Fire Department. b.Contact the Miami Dade Fire Department Supervisor to ascertain what assistance is needed, i.e., crowd control, traffic direction, protection of fire fighting equipment, etc. 3.Fire Investigation a.Ascertain if a Miami Dade Fire Department Investigator is responding to the scene. If so, obtain his name for your report. b.Remain on scene until a determination is made whether the fire was "Accidental", "Suspicious", or definitely "Arson". c.If Miami Dade Fire Department Investigator determines the fire to be "Suspicious", handle as "Fire" and note in report the reason given.
