University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Order s 10.1 Special Operations 10.1.6 Bomb Disposal Unit (Issued: 6/25/07) A. If an object or device identified to be an explosive nature or concern is located by an officer, or a call is made notifying the Department of a possible explosive device or object on campus, the on duty Watch Commander will be contacted to authorize the c all out of the Bomb Squad (“EOD”) via the SFPD Operations Center (415) 553 -1071. The officer on scene will secure the area and await the arrival of bomb technicians from the SFPD Bomb Squad to evaluate, render safe, remove and destroy hazardous explosive items. B. In no instance will Department personnel touch or allow anyone other than bomb technicians to handl e any suspected explosive item.
