8.3.9 Multi -channel Radios (Issued: 6/25/07)
The frequencies of the radio system provide for an uninterrupted flow of information among law
enforcement and public service organizations, including other police agencies, fire departments,
ambulance service and public utilities. This capability provides for the proper coordination and
deployment of resources in emergencies such as riots, fires and natural disasters.
