University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Orders 8.3 Communications: Facilities and Equipment 8.3.3 Emergency Power Generator (Revised: 10/21/21 ) The emergency power generator is an alternate source of electrical power sufficient to ensure continued operation of emergency communications equipment in the event of the failure of the primary power source. The TSD Director shall maintain a documented observation of the monthly testing and inspection of the emergency power generator conducted by Maintenance personnel. In addition, the TSD Director shall ensure that the emergency generator is tested or operated under full load at least once a year.
