University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Orders 8.3 Communications: Facilities and Equipment 8.3.1 ECC Security (Revised: 11/30/22 ) A. Security of the UCSF Police Department’s ECC will be maintained by limiting the access into the center to only authorized Department personnel. B. Only dispatchers or maintenance technicians shall operate and/or repair ECC -related equipment unless specifically authorized by the TSD Director . All personnel accessing ECC equipment must comply with DOJ requirements. C. The TSD Director is responsible for ensuring the security and condition of the transmission lines, antennas and alternate power source. The following precautions will be taken to ensure the security of 9 -1-1 equipment: 1. Antennas: access to the roof shall be limited by t he building maintenance manager to those who are specifically authorized for antenna maintenance and repair. 2. Alternative Power: access to the 9 -1-1 emergency power generator is limited by the building maintenance manager to those who are specifically au thorized to provide generator maintenance and repair. 3. Transmission Lines/Communications Sources: access is limited to communications or maintenance technicians, unless specifically auth orized by the TSD Director , FSD Captain or designee .
