University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Orders 4.28 Campus Safety Escort Service 4.28. 1 Campus Safety Escort Service – Overview (Revised : 11/3/25 ) A. Safety escorts shall be made available to members of the campus community 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the following locations: 1. Parnassus Hei ghts 2. Mission Bay 3. Mount Zion 4. Mission Center Building 5. UCSF at SFGH . B. Safety escort service will be provided by Department public safety and health safety ambassadors, with assistance from sworn officer s as needed . C. Information on safety es cort service is available on the UCSF Police website, other UCSF websites and in printed leaflets/ pamphlets at all security desks. D. Safety e scort service is limi ted to a reas on a given campus and areas immediately surrounding the campus, including those at a reasonable distance from campus where a person might park his/her vehicle and walk onto campus , generally, no more than a block or two away. E. Security supervisors oversee the safety escort services provided by public safety and health safety ambas sadors at their location. The on-duty Watch Commander will be in charge of safety escort service s provided by sworn officers. F. All requests for personal safety escorts will be logged in the CAD report at the time of the request . G. Escorts are not ava ilable between separate campuses. For example, safety escort service may be provided across the Mission Bay campus but not between the Mission Bay and Parnassus Heights campuses .
