4.23 Law Enforcement Facility Interview and Booking
4.23.4 Medical Questions (Revised: 2/16/17)
A. All persons who enter the County Jail for the purpose of booking or arrest will be asked
by the Triage Nurse the following questions:
1. Do you have any pain, bleeding or other symptoms requiring medical attention?
2. Do you have existing medical conditions that require ongoing treatment and/or
medication?
3. Have you ever attempted suicide? Are you contem plating it now?
B. Arrestees who are not medically cleared for jail incarceration due to medical problems
shall be incarcerated at the S FGH Sheriff's Detention Ward, 1001 Potrero Street, San
Francisco.
