4.20 Prisoner Transportation: Special Transport Situations
4.20.5 Restraints on Sick and Injured Prisoners (Issued: 6/25/07)
Sick or injured prisoners shall be handcuffed prior to being transported unless the application of
restraints would further compound the injuries. A second officer shall be called to assist in the
transportation of any injured or sick prisoner who cannot be handcuffed.
