University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Orders 4.6 Patrol Operations 4.6.7 Patrol Officer Radio Communications (Issued: 6/25/07) Officers are provided the means for constant police radio communications through the use of vehicle radios, and portable radios. Officers are responsible for keeping constant radio communications while on duty. If, for any reason, an Officer must have a radio off, the Officer must notify the Emergency Communications Center prior to turning it off.
