4.5 Patrol: Organization and Administration
4.5.3 Coordination with Other Divisions and Units (Issued: 6/25/07)
A. The Patrol Section will encourage and support the exchange of information with other
divisions and units for the purpose of coordinating performance.
B. Intradepartmental coordination by the Patrol Section is manifested through encouraging
support and exchanging information with the other divisions and units of the Police
Department by the following methods/procedur es:
1. Participation of Division Managers and Wat ch Commanders in staff meetings
2. Lieutenant/Sergeant meetings with Division Managers
3. Quarterly Department al management and supervisory meetings
4. Attendance by detectives at Patrol briefings
5. Utilization of both formal and informal memos
6. Utilization of University email .
