University of California, San Francisco Police Department General Orders 4.5 Patrol: Organization and Administration 4.5.2 Performance Objectives (Issued: 6/25/07) A. Specific written objectives for the Patrol Section are formulated annually in accordance with General Order 2.1, “Direction: Goals and Objectives.” B. In the interest of the safety and rights of the citizens, officers will adopt the following general per formance objectives as a guide: 1. Reduce injury and property damage resulting from traffic crashes through the use of directed patrol, selective traffic law enforcement and safety education 2. Reduce the overall crime rate and fear of crime by increasing the efficiency in directed patrol, crime prevention, investigative efforts and reporting 3. Involve the community as a partner in the preservation of peace and order and reduction of crime. C. Officers will incorporate the Department’s performa nce objective and goals into their daily duties.
