3.41 Performance Evaluation: Utilization
3.41.1 Probationary Reports (Revised : 7/27/21 )
A. Police Officers
1. Field Training Daily Observation reports and End of Phase Evaluation r eports
will be completed on probationary police officers during their field training
program. These reports will be completed by the FTO s and/or FTO Sergeant.
2. An evaluation will be conducted at the mid -point of the probationary period, on
all entry -level sworn, probationary personnel.
B. Other Depar tmental Personnel
1. All other non -sworn personnel will participate in on -the-job training to prepare
them for the responsibilities of their position. This training process involves tests
and/or evaluations to measure progress in the position.
2. An evaluation will be conduct ed at the mid -point of the probationary period, on
all entry -level probationary personnel.
