3.10 Collective Bargaining: Administration
3.10.2 Specification of Agency Bargaining Units and Collective Bargaining Team

A. The UC and UCSF Police Department will bargain collectively with FUPOA, AFSCME
and CX. Listed below are the collective agreements applicable to Police Department
personnel:
1. The agreement between the UC and FUPOA covers personnel in the Police
Officer classification
2. The agreement between the UC and AFSCME covers public safety and health
safety ambassadors.
3. The agreement between the UC and CX covers personnel in the Public Safety
Dispatcher and Administrative Assistant classifications .
B. The UC Office of the President Labor and Relations Unit is responsible for conducting all
UC labo r contract negotiations and will designate one person as the principal negotiator
to represent the UC.
C. Department personnel will abid e by, in both letter and spirit, negotiated labor agreements
that cover Police Department employees.
D. Copies of the finalized labor agreements for represented personnel are available on the
UC Office of the President website at:

E. The P SD shall review and, if necessary, prepare revisions to written directives and
procedures, in accordance with Police Department policy and procedure, to abide by the
terms of a labor agreement.
