3.8.10 Liability Protection (Issued: 6/25/07)
The University of California will indemnify and defend personnel against claims or suits and pay
any non -punitive judgments that personnel shall be legally obligated to pay as a result of that
member’s reasonable or lawful activities and exercise of authority within the scope of his/her
duties and responsibilities as a Department member.
