3.8.3 Leave of Absence (Revised : 7/18/18)
Leave of absence, with or without pay, may be granted by the Chief of Police consistent with
University policy. Such leave may be granted for represented employees as outlined in the
employee’s respective labor agreement or for non -represented and confide ntial personnel as
outlined in the UCOP Personnel Policies .
A. Jury, court or military duty
B. Bereavement
C. Leave of absence
D. Family and/or p arental leave.
